Meet The Owner

Josh is the founder and President of McCarty Mulch & Stone. In 1994 Josh started the company with a pickup truck and a thought to deliver mulch to a few friends and family as a Saturday afternoon hobby when not working in the fields of the family farming operation.

Over time this newfound hobby quickly began serving as a full time occupation as the suburbs of Indianapolis continued to expand and grow. The business would not reach its full potential until Josh’s wife and partner Jennifer took over office and sales duties in 1996.

McCarty Mulch circa 2019 is now a full service manufacturer and distributor of landscape supplies servicing all of central Indiana with products that include mulch, stone, rock, soils and custom soil blends. We offer over 100 varieties of mulch including bagged and bulk, topsoil, garden mixes, rock, stone and virtually any landscape product you can dream of.

McCarty Mulch now has 2 locations in central Indiana consisting of over 42 acres stocked with quality mulches and landscape products.

Josh remains active in the community by serving as a Council member on the Johnson County Council as well as serving on a number of boards and organizations.
